The Department of Earth, Life and Environmental Sciences (DiSTeVA)
was born on January, 1st 2011,
from the union of the Department of Human, Environmental and Natural Sciences (DiSUAN),
the Department of Geology, Chemical and Environmental Technologies (DiGEOTeCA)
and the Institute of Organic Chemistry .
The Department brings together scientists from various disciplines, including biology,
geology and chemistry, involved in basic or applied research.
Some laboratories are equipped with big instruments, which are available also to external users.
